IVF
In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is one of several techniques available to help people with fertility problems have a baby.
In this technique, ovaries are stimulated with hormone injections to produce multiple follicles(superovulation) . Eggs are then collected from the female partner and mixed with sperm from male partner to form embryos inside the incubator in the IVF lab. The embryos are then screened and best embryos are transferred inside the uterus preferably in blastocyst stage. IVF is indicated when there is blocked fallopian tubes , poor ovarian reserve , very poor sperm number and quality , unexplained infertility, severe endometriosis etc. S/R can reach up to 70% of good quality blastocyst
